Keep Your Lamps Trimmed and Burning was a group exhibition that features African-American artists from the Deep South, curated by Scott Ogden (SHRINE). The title draws reference to a Reverend Gary Davis (1896-1972) gospel blues song. The show included works by Hawkins Bolden, Thornton Dial, Rosena Finister, the Gee’s Bend Quiltmakers, Bessie Harvey, Emitte Hych, Frank Jones, Ronald Lockett, Prophet Royal Roberston,Mary T. Smith, Mose Tolliver, and Bill Traylor.
