About Michèle Lamy
Michèle Lamy (b. 1944, Jura, France) is an entrepreneur and producer, and collaborator, wife, and business partner to Rick Owens. Within Owenscorp, Lamy functions as an instigator and special projects director. She works closely with artisans in constructing furniture, as well as on Maison Objets (homeware) and HUNROD, in her collaboration with jewelry designer Loree Rodkin. In 2014, Lamy created 'LAMYLAND', an umbrella term for her own creative projects/endeavors. In 2017, Lamy formed the conceptual band, LAVASCAR, with the artist Nico Vascellari and her daughter Scarlett Rouge. Their first album, 'A Dream Deferred' was released as part of the Paris Red Bull Music Festival, September 2017. LAVASCAR have subsequently performed at the Pompidou in Paris (December 2017) and the Triennale Milan (March 2018). The Sunday tour will culminate with one of David's signature performance portraits.
Paul Kooiker Zine Creation
Sunday, October 21 at 12:00 PM
Known for his collections of enigmatic, 'bad' photographs reminiscent of vernacular photography, Kooiker will create a 200-page zine on-site at the fair incorporating 100 images, including photocopies of Lamy's body intertwined with photographs by the late self-taught Dutch photographer Gerard Fieret. The zine will exist as an edition of 10.
